"An Angel in the book of life wrote down my baby's birth. And whispered as she closed the book...
too beautiful for earth."

Thank you for visiting this website dedicated to the memory of our son, Dylan Hockley, who died alongside his friends and teachers in the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, 2012.

The support our family has received from around the world is amazing and has given us strength as well as an overwhelming desire to help others. Dylan was autistic and we saw how much progress he was making with the support of his school and additional services. Therefore this fund has been created to help children with autism and special needs. We are committed to making a positive change and help more children achieve their fullest potential and lead fulfilling lives.

On this site you can learn more about how to donate, do fundraising or take part in a sponsored event. You can also view pictures and videos of Dylan and fundraising events, leave comments and read press releases.

Through supporting the Dylan Hockley Memorial Fund, his legacy will continue to live on and touch the lives of many others. Thank you so much.

- Nicole & Ian Hockley

Celebration of Life Service for Dylan Christopher Jack Hockley
December 21, 2012

Order of Service

Dylan's Wings of Change is dedicated to provide support for children with autism and other special needs, committed to positive change for the future. The goal is to ensure that these children can access the services they require that enhance their ability to reach their personal potential and lead productive, fulfilling lives.

Dylan's Wings of Change is now a project of the New Venture Fund, a 501(c)(3) public charity that helps individuals seeking to foster change through charitable means. Our mission will remain the same while working with NVF, but we will benefit from their professional insights, financial oversight and services and be in a much better position to achieve our goals.

You can donate to Dylan's Wings of change here.

UK Donors can choose to support the National Autistic Society here.

Organize or take part in your own charitable event/activity:

A huge THANK YOU to Lou Pintarelli and his team in Rhode Island who raised $3,500 for Dylan's Wings of Change.

Please email us if you would like to run a fund raising event in your area. We can set up the donations site through Crowdrise and help with promotion activities. Runners will soon be able to purchase customized apparel.

Dylan's autism was first diagnosed while we lived in England. We want to encourage fundraising in the UK to help other families there dealing with the challenges that autism can bring. To this end we would encourage UK supporters to donate to the National Autistic Society.

The National Autistic Society is the UK's leading charity for people with autism and their families. Founded in 1962, it continues to spearhead national and international initiatives and provide a strong voice for all people with autism. The NAS provides a wide range of services to help people with autism and Asperger syndrome live their lives with as much independence as possible.

Please follow this link to Just Giving where you can learn more about the NAS and make a donation to them in memory of Dylan. Thank you for supporting this cause.

In Loving Memory
